A traditional and moving festival, dear to the hearts of the Provençal people, the Saint-Rémy-de-Provence Transhumance Festival is undoubtedly the most famous festival in the south of France which brings back to life the departures to the mountain pastures.

Programme of the Transhumance 2023

- Friday 26th May :
6pm: Inauguration of the stele in homage to the founding members of the TRANSHUMANCE IN ST RÉMY - Plateau de la Crau.
Poster sale and raffle tickets.

- Sunday 28 May :
6pm: Meeting at the Ciné-Palace to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Association, projection of short reports, testimonies from shepherds, discussion and exhibition followed by a friendly drink.
Sale of posters and raffle tickets.

- Monday 29th May 2023
9am - 7pm: Flea market in the town centre and Place de la République
9am - 2pm: Cheese fair on the adjoining boulevard (local producers)
10.30 am : Departure from the Crau plateau of the herd, donkeys, charretons and sheep of the goat.
1pm: Country-style meal served on the Plateau de la Crau

17h : Drawing of the Tombola.
