Stroll through the village of Aureille and discover the ruins of Le Castellas castle, which dominates the Alpilles massif to the south.
Castellas is a ruin perched on the southern edge of the Alpilles massif. Dating from the 12th century. It overlooks the town of Aureille and the Crau plain.
Its remains reflect the siege of the Château in 1592 to dislodge the troops of Captain Rondellet. The castle gate was restored a few years ago. 2 sections of wall remain.
