Der Cour des Arts in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence bietet Ihnen vom 6. bis 21. Dezember die Ausstellung: Drôles d'animaux en pyjamas von Lisa Benoudiz.
Forget your reluctance to enter an art gallery, Lisa Benoudiz's funny animals in pyjamas invite you in! They're zebra-striped, speckled, spotted and dressed in a festival of bright, transparent colours, sometimes so shiny you'd swear they were enamel, a personal technique jealously guarded by the artist.
Each painting is the portrait of an animal that converses with visitors and follows them with its gaze as soon as they move away. These lively eyes, which seem so close to reality, are in fact the artist's very personal vision of the character and mood of these magnificent animals, observed for years in animal parks.
But who said that an artist had to confine herself to a single discipline? Since discovering extraordinary offcuts of coloured leather from the major fashion houses, the painter has been creating jewellery directly inspired by her paintings.
