Alpilium : L'ambition d'être tendre

An intoxicating choreography in the colours of the Mediterranean and Provence, with 3 dancers and 2 musicians sharing space and sound.

Two musicians and choreographer Christophe Garcia join forces to create a performance in the form of a spiral that leads us into a trance. The Provençal-inspired music envelops the dancers like a second skin. The performer fades away and forgets himself in the intoxication and repetition. The musicians' approach evokes the imagination of archaic dances. The breath of bagpipes, fifes and galoubets is augmented and extended by electronic sounds. Trailing off into a continuous hum, the colours and melodies reveal themselves in an intense and luminous creation, like an explosive ritual combining music and dance.
